Whether you’re a mom working at home or away, having the right kid-friendly accessories is essential to your busy lifestyle.
No one knows that better than Celebrity Baby Trends Expert, Rachel Florio-Urso, mom of 6 kids! So, this Monday Funday, Celebrity Baby Trends and Cathryn A. Fisfis, one of Rachel’s favorite designers, are teaming up to give away the super essential Maggie Large Pouch valued at $135!
The Maggie Large Pouch is made of superb Italian cowhide with contrasting lining, and it has an interior back pocket. Plus, it is a simple wipe-clean (we love that!). The Maggie pouch measures 10 by 7.5 inches, which is the perfect size for your iPad or tablet. It can be carried alone or in a larger bag, such as the Samantha Bow that is available in six colors.
No one knows fashion like Cathryn A. Fisfis. At a young age, Cathryn was influenced by the world of the arts by her grandmother, Katina Lazopoulos. She was told stories of the fashion industry from her cousin, Stanley Platos, who was the VP of Sales for Valentino for North America and then went on to establish his own brand.
Cathryn graduated from the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising, New York City, with a BBA in Fashion Merchandising in 2006. She interned at Barney’s New York as a Style Intern. There she assisted stylists with jobs for soap operas, sitcoms, movies, celebrities and socialites.
Cathryn also worked for the Donna Karan Collection, as a Design Intern in the DKNY Footwear and Accessories Design Studio, as well as for the Jenny Yoo Collection. A position in Greenwich, CT, at Saks Fifth Avenue as the Designer Department Assistant Manager was the next stepping stone in her career. After two years at Saks, Cathryn took a job at Van Cleve, The Wedding Pavilion in Paoli, PA, as the new Bridal Director.
In 2010, Cathryn officially began her career in styling as a Chester County & Central Pennsylvania based stylist, working with clients in Philadelphia, New York and Wilmington, DE.
After having her son Nicholas Jr. in 2012, Cathryn recognized a need for a fashionable yet functional diaper bag. She soft launched her collection of diaper bags and handbags in November of 2013. Cathryn believes that women shouldn’t have to give up their style when they become moms. They should be able to carry an “It” bag that also fits all of their baby’s needs inside. (Watch for her men’s collection, coming soon!)
We love Cathryn’s collection, and that there is a story behind not only the stylish and practical accessories, but also behind how their names came to be. Cathryn labels her bags with names she loves, often after family and friends.
Maggie and Lucy bags, for example, are a tribute to Cathryn’s first dogs growing up—Maggie was a black lab and Lucy, a yellow lab. The Samantha line is named after her sister’s favorite American Girl doll, Samantha, who has beautiful brown curly hair and amazing dresses with big bows—just like the Samantha Bag.
Julianna is named after Cathryn’s four-year-old niece—a girlie girl who’ll definitely be carrying around a cosmetic case in her bag very soon. Lyndsey is named after her cousin, another girlie girl of the family and an inspirational woman who has proved that you can be gorgeous and successful in today’s world. Check out all Cathryn’s gorgeous bags at her website.
