If there’s one thing Celebrity Baby Trends likes to share with our readers; it’s family time! Things to do, see, and play TOGETHER! Time to turn off your cell phones and be in the moment with your loved ones. Remember when you would go to a sporting event and everyone around you was so into the game? Hooting and hollering at the team and the refs? The time you looked over at your parent or grandparent and caught them staring at you to see your facial expressions? The good old fashioned joy of togetherness and real play time? Well, I had that experience this past weekend. I took my fourteen-year-old son Gregory and four-year-old daughter Brooke Ava to a Charleston Battery game and we loved it! I used my phone for one quick picture and off it went. This is that moment captured. A moment I don’t think they will ever forget. Years from now they might be reminded of that fun night out with mom at their first pro soccer game. I sure won’t forget!
We enjoyed the challenging game against the New York Red Bulls that ended in a 1-1 tie. The best part was witnessing all of the local (and visiting) families gathering for slushies, popcorn, and some moon bouncing! The sounds of the crowd going wild and the smiles on the childrens’ faces took me back to a simpler time. The many Cardinals baseball games my father and grandfather took me to as a little girl. It was a nostalgic time yet so much fun here and now in the present with my two children. The halftime frisbee throw contests and watching little ones kick balls across the fields made us lose ourselves in this very moment. A moment that teaches all of us to unplug and get back to what really matters – FAMILY!
My children had a life lesson experience that will inspire them to want to give it your all and do something great! Sports inspire most of us to for that goal, whether it’s a soccer goal or a promotion at the office. Nike says it best, “Just Do It!”
Be sure to enjoy a family game with your littles near or far. They will thank you for it! To learn more about the upcoming Charleston Battery events visit Charleston Battery Promotions
